1. Local Evergreen runner Bob Weiner wins the Freedom RUn 5K in 16:16. The benefit race for Mt. Evans Hospice celebrated its 25th running this year with 1109 runners and walkers completing the rolling course through Evergreen. Mostly downhill, there are also some nasty uphills that are exagerated by the 7500' elevation.

2. Andrew Hoffman of Bailey actually came down in elevation for this 5K. He finished second in 16:27.

3. Derek Leidigh of Greenwood Village finished third in 16:36.

4. Newly transplanted Minnesotan Brandy Erholtz of Bailey had no trouble with the course or elevation as she dominated the women's field, running 18:22.

5. Jen Webers of nearby Conifer was the second female, crossing the line in 19:47.

6. Deborah Davies finished third in 20:03.
