1. Amy Shertzer of Monument, Colorado wins the 2005 Walt
Disney World Marathon. "I grew up in Orlando, and always wanted
to run the WDW marathon." she said after the race. Amy is a
graduate of the Air Force Academy, and formerly served in the
Air Force herself. Amy, ironically, had just moved to
Colorado, as her husband is an instructor at the Air Force
Academy. The first male finihser from the marathon from
Colorado was Alan Davies who finished in 51st place in 3:03:38.

2. Brazilian Adriano Bastos led start to finish Sunday
en route to his second victory in the Walt Disney World
Marathon. Bastos, 26, of Sao Paulo posted a time of 2:19:16 to
lead the field of nearly 9,000 participants in the full
marathon.
3. BKB Ltd. president Creigh Kelley has been the MC for
the entire Disney Marathon Weekend for 11 years. Each year he
leads the panel discussions during the expo, interviews the
winners after the events and also gets to interact with Mickey
and company before the start on race morning.
4. Colorado Runner publisher Derek Griffiths (L) and
Aurora resident Peter Tanui before the start of the Disney
Marathon. Peter spent most of the marathon running in second
place, only to have to drop out at 24 miles. Peter is one of
the many eltie runners living and training in Colorado.
5. Runners make their way towards the spilt of the
marathon and half marathon. The half marathon finishes about
one mile outside of the Magic Kingdom. Marathons continued on,
getting to run though Disney's MGM Studios, Disney's Animal
Kigndom and finally Disney's Epcot Center (for the second time)
before finishing one-half mile outside Epcot.
6. Runners make their way down Main Street USA towards
Cinderella's Castle in Disney's Magic Kingdom.
7. Tiffany and Patrick Green of Ft. Collins show off
their medals after finishing the 1/2 Marathon in 1:37:17. They
finished 182nd and 183rd, but were the 2nd and 3rd finishers
from Colorado. Tiffany was the first female finisher from
Colorado. Bob Vanlangenhoven was the first male finisher from
Colorado, 12th in 1:20:16.
8. Runners continue on their way through Disney's MGM
Studios, about 3 miles from the finish of the Marathon.
9. Team in Training uses the Disney Marathon as one of
their major destinations of the year. Here is one of the Team
and Training water stops located throughout the marathon course.
10. The Tylenol 8 Hour team had a good time at all of
their medical stations throughout the course.
