
Ndambuki, Tenorio win second Denver Marathon

Nearly 6,500 runners braved the cold (39 degrees) and rain in
the Mile High City for the second Denver Marathon. Offering a
marathon, a half ,arathon and the four person ING marathon
relay, the was a little of something for everyone.
Jonathan Ndambuki, a Kenyon who trains in Santa Fe, NM won the
marathon in 2:21:34. Martha Tenorio of Ecuador was the first
female, running 2:46:41.
Jose Amado Garcia of Guatemala was the winner of the half
marathon in 1:08:45.
Elva Dryer of Gunnison, CO used the half marathon as a an easy
prep run for the upcoming New York City Marathon. She won in
1:19:07.
Jeanne Hennessy of Eagle, CO was the socond female in the half
marathon, running 1:23:28.
Colorado Runner publisher Derek Griffiths of Littleton finished
his 54th marathon in 3:28:28.
