Pony Express Trail Run (Woodland Park, CO)
The temperature at setup time of the Pony Express Trail Run was low 60s, and it took a long time for the sun to rise. A slight wind added to the challenge, but 117 runners took to it. This 15M trail race around Rampart Reservoir in Woodland Park is a beautiful run at 9,000 feet of altitude.
10th Boulder Marathon A Success

Sharp (Atlantics Mines, MI.) won his third consecutive U.S. 40 km men's title on a steamy 90-degree, high humidity day by covering the two-kilometer loop course 20 times in 3:58:52. Top placers in the men's division were Connecticut's Theron Kessinger (2nd - 4:03:55), Michigan's Leon Jasionowski (3rd - 4:17:30) and Indiana's Max Walker (4th - 4:29:37).
