The Weekend Ahead: 2008 Reebok Grand Prix
Some of the most exciting match-ups in track and field - including Gay vs. Bolt, Williams vs. Campbell-Brown and Liu vs. Trammell - will play out Saturday night at the 2008 Reebok Grand Prix in New York City.
IAAF Golden League to be broadcast on ESPN
American fans can catch all six 2008 AF Golden League meets on ESPN2, the IAAF has announced. Repeat coverage will also appear on a combination of ESPN Classic and ESPN2. In addition to the ESPN coverage, the action also will be webcast on the Sportnet family of websites. The first race kicks off this Sunday, June 1 in Berlin.

Wyoming Marathon (Laramie, WY)
It was a beautiful day for running at the Wyoming Marathon Races in Laramie. Cool temperatures in the 30s at the 6:00 AM start helped propel Jamie Donaldson of Littleton, CO (left, photo by Tania Pacev) to a new course record of 8:17:24 in the Rocky Mountain Double Marathon. Byran Goding was the first male, running 7:42:49.
Regional Race Preview: Ricky Byrdsong Memorial 5K in Evanston IL on June 22
The Ricky Byrdsong Memorial 5K Race Against Hate will take place Sunday, June 22, beginning at 8 a.m. at Northwestern University's Long Field. This annual event memorializes the former Northwestern University men's basketball coach and Vice President of Community Affairs at Aon who was murdered in 1999 in an act of racism and violence.

Three major marathon events in California unveiled a new marketing alliance called the California Dreamin' Racing Series. The three events in the series include The San Francisco Marathon(tm), the Long Beach International City Bank Marathon, and the Surf City USA(R) Marathon in Huntington Beach.
Harroufi & Gathoni Win Dick's Sporting Goods BolderBOULDER 10K

Ridouane Harroufi of Morocco repeated as the Bolder men's champion, with the help of a fierce kick over the final 500 meters that carried him past Ethiopians Dmessew Tsega and Gebo Berka. Harroufi, 26, clocked 28:32 to win $4500, part of a prize purse of $84,000.

OTTAWA, Canada - (May 20, 2008) - Emilie's Run - The Emilie Mondor Memorial 5K Race for Women will be run on Saturday, June 21 from the Aviation Museum in Ottawa. Emilie's Run is a women's-only 5K road race named after Emilie Mondor who was killed in a car accident in September 2006. She was the first Canadian woman to run under 15 minutes for 5000 meters and an Athens Olympian.

Regional Race Report: Cascades 10K Firechase (VA)
The women's race featured two top masters runners who are frequently threats to win it all. Linda Foley (46) of Oak Hill, VA did just that in 40:16. Kristin DiDomenico (41) of Sterling, VA was next in a swift 40:46. In 1996, Ray Pugsley (39) of Potomac Falls, VA won the race and set the age group record in a fancy 33:29.
Cheruiyot and Leghazoui Win ING Ottawa Marathon
May 25, 2008 - OTTAWA – Under a beaming sun and in front of thousands of spectators, David Cheruiyot, the 2007 marathon champion, captured his third title with a time of 2:10:59, just 26 seconds short of the course record he established last year (2:10:33).
San Diego's Rock 'n Roll Marathon Announces Elite Field
An international field of elite athletes will take to San Diego's streets for the Rock 'n' Roll Marathon on June 1, 2008. The men's elite division will be lead by the reigning 2007 Chicago Marathon champion Patrick Ivuti of Kenya. Ivuti joins an exciting men's field that includes defending San Diego champion Daniel Yego of Kenya and Olympian Michael Aish of New Zealand.

Regional Race Preview: A Day At The Races on June 7 (VA)
The Loudoun Therapeutic Riding Foundation in Leesburg, VA will be holding their 2nd Annual 5K Cross Country/Family Fun Mile Event. This race will be held on Saturday, June 7, 2008 on the beautiful grounds of Morven Park in Leesburg, VA. The race will follow equestrian cross country trails with some "obstacles" for fun.
Colorado Colfax Marathon
The Post-News Colorado Colfax Marathon made an improvement with its new course Sunday. Unlike last year, when runners were sent in the wrong direction, adding a half-mile to an already brutal 26.2-mile race, the top 30 runners only had to go an extra quarter-mile this year. They were led off-course after the first mile because a bicycle pacer made a wrong turn.

Saucony Signs Olympian Magdalena Lewy Boulet
Saucony announced the signing of Olympic marathoner Magdalena Lewy Boulet to a multi-year endorsement contract. Lewy Boulet earned a spot on the U.S. Olympic Team by finishing second in the 2008 U.S. Women's Olympic Marathon Trials held in Boston on April 20th. Leading for much of the 26.2-mile race, she finished in a personal-best time of 2:30:19.
CU Men Win Big 12 Outdoor Track and Field Title
The University of Colorado men's team won its first Big 12 Conference Outdoor Track & Field title as the 2008 Championships concluded Sunday night at Potts Field. The title is the first men's league championship since running off a string of eight in a row in the old Mountain States Conference between 1940 and 1947.

Makau Wins Healthy Kidney 10K
New York, Saturday, May 17—Patrick Makau of Kenya led wire to wire to win the 2008 Healthy Kidney 10K, missing U.S. Olympian Dathan Ritzenhein’s Central Park record of 28:08, set in this race last year, by 11 seconds. This was the fourth running of the New York Road Runners event, which benefits the National Kidney Foundation.
