2007 Colorado Runner Racing Series Winners
Lola Ackerman, 63, is this year’s Senior champion in the Colorado Runner Racing Series. Ackerman lives in Longmont where she is a supervisor at FirstBank. Connie Ahrnsbark of Denver, last year’s champion, grabbed second place this year. Englewood’s Myra Rhodes, who is 75 years old, showed what champions are made of by placing third.

I have been a runner for more than half of my life. Growing up, the only way to stay hydrated during my runs was to make sure my routes passed public water fountains. When I was younger and only running 5Ks and 10Ks, this worked well. But now, with 52 marathons and two ultras under my belt, I am always looking for the least restrictive way to carry my fuel along with me.
