The first USATF Colorado Cross Country State championship took place in conjunction with the RMAC XC Open at Monument Valley Park in Colorado Springs on Saturday. The men’s race featured an 8K distance, while the women’s race featured a 6K distance.
In the men’s race, Andy Wacker took top honors in 24:41, and Matthew Tebo finished up in second in 25:05. Rounding out the top three was Josh Eberly in 25:14.
In the women’s race, Laura Thweatt finished first in 20:45. Ellie Keyser took second in 20:48 and Brianne Nelson came in third in 21:22.
