Just when you think you’ve seen it all, another wild and crazy 5K race emerges to make you think again. This is definitely one of those races. The Color Me Rad 5K comes to Denver this Saturday to color the streets of the Denver Botanic Gardens at Chatfield.
Beginning at 9am, the Color Bombs start flying with waves of runners getting plastered with paint every 5 minutes after. According to the Color Me Rad website, “You’ll end up looking like a kindergarten art class gone wrong… but the Art of Running will make you feel oh so right.”
The race, which is a part of a multi-city tour across the U.S., benefits the YMCA of Denver. Each race in the Color Me Rad tour supports a local charity through its charity partner program.
This will be the first Color Me Rad race in Denver, which means while we don’t have any past results to scour, we do have a pretty fast race course in order for all you speedsters. Winding its way through the Denver Botanic Gardens at Chatfield, the race course is sure to be scenic, if not albeit colorful along the way!
