This Sunday’s Retro Run 5K will be a flashback in time as runners don gear from the 1960′s, 1970′s and 1980′s and take a lap around Sloan’s Lake in Denver.
The race, benefiting Colorado Youth At Risk, will feature a course full of music. You’ll be able to take a trip, or run, down memory lane as the music along the course changes from the 60′s, 70′s and finally the 80′s at the finish line. While this is a fast course that circumvents Sloan’s Lake, those looking for top finishes at the event beware: The Retro Run 5K will not be timed.
Participants will receive an 80′s Retro Run T-Shirt and Retro Run Sunglasses, and will get to enjoy a post-race festival, 80′s music, a costume contest featuring a prize for the best dressed pet, and a break dancing performance.
Strollers are welcome and online registration closes today (Saturday) at 10:00pm. With the race already at 98% capacity, it’s sure to be a rockin’ good time!
