WHY: Inspiring everyone to showcase this summer’s excitement around the joy of running and in celebration of global human friendship, competition and spirit. The sport of running is innately human and has been part of our collective bi-pedal history and as such, is part of our collective soul. Participants in our Photo Challenge will simply upload an image of themselves (solo or with friends), wearing any PUMA watch, celebrating running, friendship and the human spirit.
PUMA is offering a discount of 20% on all watches purchased on puma.com during the duration of this Challenge. You can also go old school, print out one of our super cool virtual watches and design and stylize it yourself.
WHO: As individuals or in groups, participants will take photos of themselves wearing watches in the location of their choice. Some participants may elect to showcase their passion for running quite literally, while others will show off their living room, favorite local landmark or watering hole. Anything goes! The only requirement is that each Contestant must appear in every uploaded photo wearing a visible PUMA watch, whether real or virtual. All photos will be uploaded to www.puma.com/reggae
A team of PUMA Time judges will select the best photographs to win prizes, including a “Gold Medal” Grand Prize trip to Jamaica to participate and/or enjoy the Reggae Marathon on December 1st, 2012. “Silver” and “Bronze Medal” prize packages comprising a range of the “best of the best” PUMA merchandise will be awarded as well. Three “Mr and Mrs Congeniality” Prizes will go to the submitter(s) of the photographs that get ‘shared’ the most on Twitter and Facebook platforms – a modern day version of the age-old popularity contest!
Judging is based on originality, enthusiasm, and excitement. We are seeking strong expressions of your passion for life, running and friendship in any way you feel it. Photographs must display a visible PUMA watch, real or “DIY paper” as provided on the site.
PRIZES: Winners will be notified by September 25th, 2012. Details below:
1. “FAAS” Gold Medal Prize
Travel to the Reggae Marathon in Jamaica, land of the world’s fastest sprinters including airfare and lodging and entry, if so desired, into the Reggae Marathon. Winner(s) do NOT have to actually run the marathon. Actual travel dates are 29 Nov to 03 December 2012.
2. Silver & Bronze Prize
$600 + PUMA prize pack including sox, running shoes, sunglasses, earphones & Gift Card.
3. Mr & Mrs. Congeniality Prizes
The three people whose images are “shared” and “re-shared” the most images via Twitter and Facebook will win. Only your OWN submissions are eligible for this prize. Each winner will receive a PUMA prize pack with fabulous PUMA merchandise including running shoes, PUMA running watch and a Gift Card.
