The Colorado Dragon Boat Festival is excited to announce that as part of their commitment to celebrating athletic competition and health lifestyles, they will host the first-ever Dragon 5K Run/Walk at Sloan’s Lake on Sunday before the festival.
To commemorate the Year of the Dragon, participants are welcome and encouraged to show off their inner dragon by wearing dragon-themed costumes, masks and hats – they’ll supply the t-shirts!
The course will circle Sloan’s Lake as the festival prepares for its second day of culture and competition. The winner will receive a trophy, prize, and recognition on the Colorado Dragon Boat Festival website.
With the 5K run kicking off at 8am, walkers will begin their trek at 8:15am, and kids under 10 can participate for free.
Check out the CDBF website for more information on the festival and the inaugural Dragon 5K Run/Walk.
