Tomorrow (07/21) see’s Race 3 of the 5 race series between the Boulder Track Club (BTC) and BRC/ Adidas, take place down in Colorado Springs for the Classic 10km, which is part of the Colorado Springs Grand Prix of Running.
With 2 races completed in the series, the BTC men are leading 2 – 0, while the women are drawn at 1 – 1 in the battle for the Mark Plaatjes Perpetual Trophy (Men) and the Elva Dryer Perpetual Trophy (Women).
The women’s team will have it’s strongest representation yet with new members Ellie Keyser (Fort Collins) and Betsy Flood (Iowa) joining the team and leading runner Laura Thweatt back after missing race 2 to focus on track racing.
The men’s team is also well represented with top runners Sean Quigley having his first race of the season having been injured and Matt Tebo returning after missing race 2 to focus on track racing also. The only low light for race 3 has been the withdrawal of Curtis Begley (who placed second at the recent Bolder Boulder) due to injury.
“This race is going to be tough. BRC/ Adidas are one of the most competitive teams in the country and the fact we are racing in their hometown means that our runners are going to have to fight hard for every single second if they are going to win”, said head coach Lee Troop. “This series was developed with the hope that we could create a great rivalry between Colorado Springs and Boulder and so far this season has not disappointed”.
Start time is 7am for both men and women.

Men:
Josh Glaab
Mark Del Monaco
Zach Parris
Sean Quigley

Women:
