Ryan Hafer of Colorado Springs ran away from the field at the LaSportiva Vail Hill Climb on July 7th. His winning time of 49:20 was two minutes faster than runner-up Jason Delaney of Golden (51:27). Simon Gutierrez of Alamosa finished third (and first master) in 53:42.
The female competition was dominated by masters runners with the top three spots going to ladies over the age of 40. Leading the way was 40-year-old Erica Baron in 1:01:39, a full six minutes faster than runner-up Eva Hagen of Colorado Springs (1:07:41). Third place went to Mia Stockdale in 1:08:08.
