The women’s race showcased a fight to the finish, with 17-year old Heather Bates taking the win in 18:31 and 17-year old Syd Scott coming in a second behind in 18:32. Third place belonged to 15-year old Darby Gilfillan who finished in 20:15. Racers enjoyed a post-race New Year’s Eve party with Wahoo’s tacos, awards and a raffle that boasted a grand prize trip to Aspen/Snowmass.
