Rudolph was spotted at least once, and three new course records were set at Saturday’s Rudolph’s Revenge 5k and 10k. Fabulous winter weather, warming up to the 50s for the day, surely contributed to the fast times and festive atmosphere at the race.
In the men’s 5k, Greg Reindl ran 15:50 for the men’s win and course record. Amanda Lovato finished in 18:51 for the same honors in the women’s division.
Roberto Mandje won the men’s 10k in 34:18, while Kelly Calway took the women’s title and a new course record in 36:57.
Rudolph’s Revenge 5k/10k was the first race in the three part Winter Distance Series. The next race in the series is Frosty’s Frozen Five and Ten, on January 21, 2012.
