Distance Divas fast facts:

Q: I missed the June 10th kick-off. Is it too late to join?

A: No, you can still join the Distance Divas. We invite you to come and check it out. We will be training through the fall so the sooner you join the more you can possible get from our training plans

Q: How much does it cost and what do I get?

A; The cost to join the Distance Divas is $20 for Columbines and $40 for non-Columbines. It

includes:

* a training plan,

* group long runs with maps

* an incentive program where you log points for your weekly mileage and for coming to the

weekly runs to earn toward prizes,

* a Distance Diva T-shirt and

* the chance to have fun and train with others!!!

Q: Where do you start the group long runs?

A; We will be rotating the long runs from five locations: Boulder Running Company in Littleton, Boulder Running Company in Greenwood Village, Runners Roost in Lakewood, Runners Roost in Aurora and Title Nine in Cherry Creek. Please check the calendar online for the weekly schedule.

Q: What is the training program and will I find someone to run with?

A; We’ve designed three marathon training plans (up to 18 weeks long) tailored toward beginner, intermediate and advanced levels. All three of plans we offer build runners up to a 20-mile long run before they race. Most of our Distance Divas have signed up for either the Denver Rock N Roll Marathon or St. George, both in October 2010.

So far we are getting Distance Divas of various paces and ability levels. Chances are good you’ll find someone with similar goals or pace to run with so we invite you to come and check it out!
